Tom Arieli

Partner - Tompkins Wake

Tom is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience practicing law. Tom joined Tompkins Wake in 2012 and acts as a trusted advisor to local and multinational businesses, start-ups, founders, family offices and high net worth individuals.  Tom is valued by clients for his ability to provide clear, pragmatic and strategic advice and solutions to meet their commercial objectives.

Tom acts on local and cross-border transactions across a number of industries and regularly assists clients with the structuring, negotiation and implementation of complex commercial contracts and projects. 


Henri Eliot

Founder & Managing Director - Board Dynamics

Henri Eliot is one of New Zealand’s top governance advisors and remains an active board member and Chair.

With an international education and pragmatic commercial experience, He stays current on global hot topics through annual training at Stanford, Harvard University and the University of Cambridge.

Henri is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, member CPA Australia/New Zealand, Associate Member of Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand and Professional Member of the Resolution Institute. He trained as a mediator at Harvard Law School. Accredited Farm Debt Mediator and Rural Panel List member. 


Terry Allen

Director - Allen Strategic

Terry is the founder and managing director of Allen Strategic, and specializes in governance and strategy at board and executive level.

In a career spanning 20 years his senior roles in multinational technology companies include 12 years at Microsoft.  He ran the incubation business for Auckland University's Icehouse for 2 years, focusing on business growth strategy, start-ups, commercialization and small company governance, and is currently a director of the E-centre business incubator at Massey University.

Other directorships include currency exchange startup Klickex, NZ stock photo service Mychillybin and nonprofit organization Engineers without Borders.

Terry also acts as an advisor to several start-ups, and to UniServices and Waikatolink, the commercialization offices of Auckland and Waikato Universities.

Business Intelligence Series Workshops offer the opportunity to hear from some of the best in the business about emerging and trending sectors in the New Zealand economic and business environment. Our workshops attract managers, advisors, corporate counsel, business executives, and many more.

Workshops run from 7.00 am to 9.30 am and include a networking breakfast. At each workshop we welcome a panel of experts, specialists in their respective fields, to discuss their insights and specialist sector knowledge in an interactive and engaging format. During the workshop, you'll have opportunities to ask any questions to the panel, as well as ample networking time.
